DESCRIPTION:North West Kendo Presents: The Tonbo Cup 2025 Date: August 16\, 2025Venue: Bolton School\, Chorley New Road\, Bolton\, BL1 4PA \nGet ready for an exciting day of action at the Tonbo Cup 2025 kendo competition! Inscription 45$ per team. \nThe tournament features 4 groups of 6 teams\, each made up of 3 fighters\, ensuring a minimum of 5 matches per team. The top 2 teams from each group advance to the knock-out rounds.Matches are 3 minutes long\, fast-paced and full of spirit! \nScoring: \n\n\n3 points for a team win \n\n\n1 point for a draw \n\n\n0 for a loss \n\n\nTo keep things running smoothly\, each team must have a designated captain to register the team with all names and a contact email. \n Spots are limited to 24 teams — first come\, first served! \n As always\, participants are kindly asked to support with refereeing. \nProvisional Schedule:09:00 – Doors open\, registration & warm-up10:00 – Pools A & B12:30 – Lunch / Warm-up for Pools C & D13:00 – Pools C & D15:30 – Knock-outs16:30 – Prizes & (hopefully) jigeiko18:00 – Close \nCome test your skills\, meet fellow kendoka\, and enjoy a full day of spirited kendo!
